Friends of mine have a little Maltese puppy, mixed with Shiz Tzu I think, named Baylee. She is only about 8 months old, and she comes to my place to visit everyday and I take her for a walk with Fynn midday. I continued to be a bit fascinated with the macro feature on my little Canon Powershot, so as she laid sleeping beside me on my desk – yes “on” – I decided to try to get some macro shots of puppy parts. Here are the successful bits. The very last one is when she finally laid on the bed quietly, so I snapped a shot….while she was awake, which her laying down while she is awake is rare – she’s a real wired-for-sound one, wiggling all the time trying to give you kisses. So this one is a bit of chance one I was lucky to get.

I have been meaning to find some time to write this, but between sleeping and eating and playing with toys, I just haven’t had much time to spare – especially over the Christmas holidays! – plus it’s hard to sneak in computer time with mom always on it.
So, I wanted to tell you all about my latest trip my mom’s took me out on. This trip I went solo – Impulse had to stay home – ha ha ha ha ha. First we took the bus, and I got to say hi to all sorts of people. Then we went underground and got on a train. It went fast. I met this hot little boxer (I think she was a boxer). She was white and had a pink sweatshirt on – so of course I went and said hi. She was c-u-t-e. But we made an awful lot of noise – other people started to look at us funny, so mom made us go sit farther away. So I had to admire this cutey from afar. I never did get her name. Darn.
We arrived at the right stop and we got off, we used these moving stairs to go up to the next level….oh man, I don’t like those things…the last step is real tricky and sometimes I am not fast enough to jump off before I feel like I am going to be swallowed up by the stairs. But I made it and we got on another bus. This one was really full. And I had to woof my way through cause people just stood there blocking the way. Sometimes humans can be, well, just plain rude. My mom tells me we’re staying at this nice hotel because something bad happened at our place. It happened a while ago, and all I remember is we (me and my brother Fynnegan) were sleeping in our crates – snug and quiet one morning and mom had gone out to visit friends, when there was a loud bang and the building shook. It scared us a little, but I laid back down and went back to sleep. Next thing I know my mom is running (well not running exactly but walking fast) into the bedroom telling us we had to go – fast. She let us out of our crates and it was strange because she didn’t love us up like she usually does….she hooked us up to our leashes and made us leave.
When we were in the hallway we were excited to see our friends Anna and Lori and we wanted to say hello, but mom wouldn’t let us. There were lots of people around. All leaving too. I was so confused. I didn’t know what all the excitement was about.
We had to go down lots and lots of stairs. I did ok but Fynnegan – he’s scared of the stairs so I had to make sure he was ok, so I ran down on the railing side so he couldn’t see all the way down to the bottom – scaredy-cat. So many people were coming with us – I’ve never seen so many people all together like that. It was stinky too. Mom says it was the smoke. Read the rest of this entry »
